Vietnamese doctor receives PEPS’ most downloaded paper award

Nguyen Kim Anh, a young female Vietnamese PhD holder of the Institute of Geography under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, has won “The most downloaded paper award 2021” award from The Progress in Earth and Planetary Science (PEPS), a journal of the Japan Geoscience Union. Kim Anh is now engaging in post-doctoral research at the Centre for Space and Remote Sensing Research under the National Central University of Taiwan, China.

Anh and her colleagues received the prestigious award of PEPS for an article entitled “Soil salinity assessment by using near-infrared channel and vegetation soil salinity index derived from Landsat & OLI data: a case study in the Tra Vinh Province, Mekong Delta, Vietnam.”

Dr. Kim Anh has 12 scientific articles published in reputable foreign scientific journals in the list of International Scientific Indexing (ISI).

She is chosen to be the communications ambassador for the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) in charge of the Asia-Pacific region.
