Vietnamese Embassy in Israel celebrates National Day

The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel organized a ceremony in Tel Aviv Tuesday to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of Vietnam's National Day, September 2, and the 25th anniversary of Vietnam-Israel diplomatic ties, July 12.

Ambassador Cao Tran Quoc Hai said both countries have achieved great progress in defense, security, trade, agriculture, science, and technology. Both countries have conducted high-level delegation exchanges, including visits to Vietnam by Israeli President Reuven Rivlin in 2017 and President Shimon Peres in 2011. Israel has become one of Vietnam's top economic partners in the Middle East, with trade surpassing 1 billion USD in 2017. Vietnam sends a large number of students to study agriculture in Israel, Hai said, adding that bilateral cooperation in tourism is expanding, with Vietnam being one of the most attractive destinations for Israeli tourists.
