Vietnamese enterprises seek export opportunities in South Africa

A Vietnamese trade promotion delegation, including 22 local businesses, is visiting South Africa to seek partnerships and export opportunities.

Co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) and the Hanoi People's Committee as part of the 2019 national trade promotion program, the trip showcases Vietnamese products, seeks trade partners and investment opportunities, and studies consumers' preferences and importers' requirements.

On Monday, a workshop on connecting Vietnamese and South African businesses took place in Johannesburg. Vietnamese firms showcased apparel, rice, coffee, processed foods, and construction materials, at the South African International Trade Exhibition 2019 (SAITEX). On Wednesday, it will organize a workshop on Vietnam-South Africa trade in Cape Town and will hold separate meetings with local importers and retailers.
