Hanoi: Vietnam's automobile market shifted into high gear in March, with members of the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association (VAMA) reporting robust sales of 31,750 units. This represents a significant increase of 47% compared to the previous month and a 16% rise from the same period last year.
According to Vietnam News Agency, passenger vehicles were at the forefront of this growth, with sales amounting to 22,339 units, marking a 53% increase from February. Meanwhile, the commercial vehicle segment also saw notable growth, with 9,231 units sold, reflecting a 36% rise. In contrast, sales of special-purpose vehicles experienced a decline, falling by 36% to a total of 180 units.
