Vietnam’s President to deliver a speech at APEC CEO Summit

President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Thursday began attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings via videoconference at the invitation of New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.

He will attend the 28th Asia-Pacific Economic Leaders Meeting from Friday and the Dialogue between APEC Economic Leaders and the APEC Business Advisory Council on Thursday. He will deliver a pre-recorded speech at the APEC CEO Summit on Thursday and Friday.

2021 is the first year that Vietnam implements the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan, transitioning to a period of comprehensive and extensive international integration. President Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s attendance at the 28th APEC Summit Week will contribute to enhancing Vietnam’s position in multilateral activities in general and APEC in particular, helping Vietnam promote its role and contribute to developing the APEC Vision Implementation Plan to 2040.
