VN enjoys trade surplus from South Africa

VGP – Viet Nam-South Africa trade turnover in 2014 is estimated to reach US$962 million, up nearly 5% compared to the previous year.

Of the figure, Viet Nam’s respective exports and imports were US$815 million and US$147 million, resulting in a trade surplus of US$ 668 million from South Africa.

Among items exported to South Africa, coffee and footwear saw positive growth of 71% and 7%, accounting for 18% and 12.5% of the market share, respectively.

In 2014, Viet Nam’s two-way trade turnover with Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana, Swaziland, and Lesotho was US$92.9 million, US$34.7 million, US$26.4 million, US$21.1 millionUS$14.7 million, and US$12.3 million, respectively.
