Voters praise solutions to improve the economy’s competitiveness

Voters have praised drastic measures to raise the economy's competitiveness following the release of a socio-economic report for this year at the National Assembly.

Nguyen Duc Thanh, Head of the Vietnam Institute for Economic and Policy Research at the Hanoi National University said the government's approach to encourage the private sector and facilitate the business environment will spur economic growth. Voter Do Ngoc Am from Ho Chi Minh city's district 8 said the high quality growth model would help Vietnam grasp opportunities generated from international integration:"The National Assembly has addressed the most pressing issues in need of fixing problems such as corruption and environmental issues. I hope these solutions will work to please the public."
