Voters trust in Party leader and President Nguyen Phu Trong
Vietnamese voters have voiced their absolute trust in Party leader and President Nguyen Phu Trong following his election as President of Vietnam.
Do Yen Hung, a voter in Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi, said the National Assembly made the right decision because Mr. Trong's high prestige within the Party will elevate Vietnam's position.
Voter Phan Ngoc Lam of Tan Phong ward in Lai Chau city said the election will benefit the nation's governance, and he hopes Mr. Trong will pay more attention to the development of Vietnam's mountain provinces.
The National Assembly's election of a new President was an important event. We are happy that Party chief Nguyen Phu Trong had the strong confidence of the legislative body. We hope the President will help people in mountainous areas develop economically and reduce poverty sustainably, said Lam.
Nguyen Dinh Canh of Bac Ninh province said he expects the new President to fight corruption and consolidate trust in the Party from the grassroots level.
Do Van Hao of Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province said the election of Party leader Trong as President won the hearts of the people. Mr. Trong's achievements in combating corruption and in diplomacy have increased public faith in the Party and State.
Patriarch Ho Van Nhung of the Gie Trieng ethnic group in Kham Duc town, Quang Nam province, said he believes Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong will successfully fulfill the duties of President.
Le Trong Tu, a retiree in Hue city, said: The consensus of the National Assembly and the people to elect Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong as President is good. Mr. Trong's speech at the swearing-in proved his great sense of responsibility. People believe Mr. Trong will fulfill the duties assigned by the Party and the State.
