Asia Pacific Regional Director of the World Health Organization, Takeshi Kasai, has praised Vietnam’s exemplary model in Covid-19 pandemic control. Speaking during an online discussion with Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam on Thursday, Dr Takeshi Kasai appreciated Vietnam’s proper and efficient vaccine approach and pledged earliest supplies of vaccines from the global Covax Facility. He agreed to cooperate with Vietnam in responding to the Deputy Prime Minister’s request for technological transfer support so that Vietnam would become a vaccine production hub in the region.
