WHO: Vietnam leads the world in tuberculosis prevention

Director of the World Health Organisation (WHO)'s Global Tuberculosis Programme Tereza Kasaeva has lauded Vietnam's achievements in tuberculosis prevention.

She made the remarks at a working session with a Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Health Minister Le Quang Cuong on the sidelines of the 71st World Health Assembly held in Geneva, Switzerland from May 21-26. She wished Vietnam would share its experience with countries hit by the disease and attend the UN General Assembly High-Level Meeting on Ending Tuberculosis between now and 2030, scheduled for this September in New York.
