Bangkok: The BMA ROZA YONEX TIP Badminton Open Championship 2024, a prestigious tournament with competitors vying for the Royal Trophy of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and the trophy of Dr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, continued to showcase exceptional talent on its fourth day. Held at the Vessana Sports Building 1, Bangkok Youth Center (Thai-Japan), the event is set to run until November 6, 2024. According to Thai News Agency, in the men's singles 9-year-old category, top-seed Worawut Wicharahatta of INDY club secured a decisive victory over Mekkanin Sawangnimitkul from Triple V, winning 2-0 games with scores of 21-9, 21-16. This victory propels Worawut into the semi-finals, highlighting his prowess and determination to clinch the coveted Royal Trophy. Other notable performances included Narawit Traipasinburana from JP ACADEMY, who defeated Phanurut Kaewwimol of KIP BADMINTON CLUB with a straight 2-0 games victory, scoring 21-5, 21-11. In the women's singles 9-year-old cat egory, Naphak Kesakanan from Pathum Thani Badminton Association triumphed over Wanatporn Panthai of Pachara, securing her place in the semi-finals with a 2-0 victory of 21-18, 21-8. The tournament also witnessed intense matches in the men's doubles 9-year-old category, where Sirawit Muangnoi and Phawat Sirima from DP BADMINTON/V WiN Chonburi defeated their opponents, Thammathai Klanarong and Barmeth Bunyathikun from SM.BADMINTON, with a 2-0 win, scoring 21-11, 21-15. In the women's singles 11-year-old group, Pronatcha Boonchoo of Vasin BC, ranked 6th, overcame Pemisa Prasertsuk from Baan Thongyod with a 2-0 win, scoring 21-18, 21-16. Chotika Sukunpak of CR BADMINTON, ranked 3rd, also advanced with a 2-0 victory over Smaiyanat Srisurach from PUTI CLUB. The women's doubles 11-year-olds saw Aiya Thaworn and Priyawadee Muenprom from UDON ARCHA defeating Srisara Chaetang and Yingluck Kokarat from JP ACADEMY/Yodchay Badminton with a 2-1 win. Sasipin Kongkhakha and Apichanya Prachumchai from EAGLE THAILAND/BLOWFI SH also secured their advancement with a 2-0 victory. In the mixed doubles 11-year-olds, Yuthasak Nadi and Kungkaew Kakanik from GRANULAR, ranked No. 1, triumphed over Phirawich Kanja and Chatchanan Buachan from Vasin BC/UNITY and RAWIN, with a 2-1 game victory. The competition continues to heat up as players from various age groups and categories strive for excellence in this prestigious event. The fifth day of the tournament will commence tomorrow from 9:00 AM at the Vessana Sports Building 1, Bangkok Youth Center (Thai-Japan), promising more thrilling matches and outstanding badminton performances.
