Zimbabwe holds first election in 37 years

More than 5 million Zimbabwe citizens have experienced their first election in 37 years after President Robert Gabriel Mugabe resigned last November.

The candidate most likely to succeed him is interim President Emmerson Mnangagwa, 75, or else the President of Zimbabwe's Movement of Democratic Change, Nelson Chamisa, who will be the youngest President in Zimbabwe's history if he wins the election. Polls give the former a narrow lead over his 40-year-old rival.
