The third Binh Lieu Culture–Tourism Week – Yellow Season Festival opened on Saturday in Binh Lieu border district, Quang Ninh province. This is the first year that Binh Lieu has organized a paragliding festival called “Flying over the yellow season” drawing 150 paragliders from nationwide.

Festival goers will be treated with a series of cultural and sports activities and can admire  a paradise of reeds and a system of sacred, majestic national border markers.

Nguyen Thi Tuyet Hanh, Chairwoman of Binh Lieu district’s People’s Committee, said, “With its theme ‘Love Song of Yellow Season’, the Binh Lieu Yellow Season Festival hopes to introduce to visitors their homeland of Binh Lieu, a district with rich, beautiful, traditions, cultural identity, and modest people. We want to say that Binh Lieu is a safe, friendly and attractive destination.”

The yellow season festival has been held annually by the People’s Committee of Binh Lieu district since 2020 to introduce the natural beauty and landscapes of the region and the traditional cultures of local ethnic minority of Tay, Dao, and San Chi.
