Vietnam reported 17,000 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours as of 4pm on Thursday. They included 20 imported cases and 16,980 domestically transmitted cases in 61 cities and provinces. The same day, more than 34,000 COVID-19 patients fully recovered and 240 died.

So far, Vietnam has logged more than 1.7 million COVID-19 infections.

By Thursday, Vietnam had administered 149.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines. Nearly 90% of Vietnamese people above 18 have been fully vaccinated.
