Deputies of Hanoi People’s Council meet voters of Thanh Xuan and Ha Dong districts

 

Head of the Hanoi Party Committee’s Commission for Education and Communications Bui Huyen Mai along with deputies of the municipal People’s Council on October 5 had a meeting with voters of Thanh Xuan and Ha Dong districts to report to them results of the municipal council’s second session. The event was held in both in-person and online forms,  connecting 11 wards in the two districts. At the meeting, Mai briefed local voters on the second session of the 16th municipal People’s Council.

 

Later, deputy Trinh Xuan Quang, Director of Hanoi Housing Development and Investment – Consultant Joint Stock Company (HANDIC), gave a report on settlement of  the voters’ suggestions ahead the  second session of the municipal People’s Council.

 

The voters expressed their delight at results of the council’s second session.

 

According to them, at the session, the deputies discussed and made decision on important issues related to social welfare amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

They lauded the city’s initial success in controlling the pandemic that is the premise to boost economic recovery and achieve targets set for 2021.

 

The voters also raised their concerns on various issues related to traffic infrastructure development, land management and planning, and slow progress projects, among others.

 

On behalf of the deputy group, Nguyen Thanh Xuan, Secretary of the Ha Dong district’s Party Secretary, acknowledged voters’ opinions.

 

He answered the voters’ queries, hoping that local residents would cooperate with the competent authorities to speed up site clearance for major projects.

 

He also committed to reporting the voters’ concerns to the municipal People’s Council for consideration and settlement.
