Digitalization serves a modern, comprehensive diplomacy

Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh on Saturday called for promoting online diplomacy to catch up with the global trend of digital technology application.

Mr. Minh addressed the plenary session themed “Innovation toward building a professional, comprehensive and modern diplomacy” as part of the 31st National Diplomatic Conference in Hanoi, on Saturday.

“We must build a modern diplomacy on the basis of digital diplomacy and digital technology, meaning applying science and technology to advance methods. Attention should be paid to digital diplomacy, online diplomacy. It’s imperative to fine-tune institutions and apparatus and continue to promote the wisdom of formulating the sector development strategy to 2030,” he said.
