– The European Union has called its digital COVID certification a success for resuming more than 70% of air transportation volume, which was restricted due to the Coronavirus. A European Committee spokesperson said Thursday that the certificate is a symbol of an open and safe Europe, which allows tourists to travel and authorities to better control traveling documents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

400 million digital COVID-19 certificates have been issued since the document was introduced in July.
