First Full Moon poetry night held in Hoi An ancient city

A poetry night was held in the ancient city of Hoi An on traditional Tet Nguyen Tieu, or the First Full Moon Festival, (the 15th day of the first lunar month), featuring poetry works in praise of Quang Nam province with landscapes, historical sites, and hospitable people. The poetry night is part of Hoi An’s First Full Moon Festival which includes other events inside Hoi An’s Old Town and in neighboring areas such as the Ancient Town night, worshiping ceremonies, and folk games.

More particularly, the event was in celebration of Hoi An’s First Full Moon Festival’s recognition as national intangible cultural heritage early this month. A ceremony to receive the title was organized on Sunday morning at Hoi An temple.
