Vietnamese film lovers will be treated to interesting cinematic pieces by the Francophone community during a film festival to be held in Hanoi from March Thursday to Sunday. The event will be launched during an official working visit to Vietnam by Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), this week. It is also part of activities to celebrate International Francophonie Day on March 20.

The festival is to introduce the range of cultural diversity of the Francophone community to local people and international friends residing in Vietnam.

Several excellent films are due to be screened at the Hanoi Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio and the French Cultural Institute (L’Espace).

They include Emma Peeters directed by Nicole Palo, Legend Of Quan Tien by Dinh Tuan Vu, Borders by Appoline Traoré, FAHIM- The Little Chess Prince-by Pierre-François Martin-Laval, and Young Juliette by Anne Émond.
