Hanoi contributes to strengthen Vietnam-China friendship

The Hanoi branch of the Vietnam-China Friendship Organization, on June 16, held its 6th congress for the 2022-2027 term to discuss the performance in the past term and vision in the next five years.

For the 2022-2027 period, the Hanoi chapter of the Vietnam-China Friendship Organization is expected to further enhance efficiency in operation by cooperating with the Chinese Embassy in events marking the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Every year, on the eve of the Independence Day of Vietnam (September 2) and China (October 10), the organization holds sporting and cultural events to deepen mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries.

In the coming time, the organization plans to further promote student exchange between Vietnam and China; establish a website for the organization to become a platform for communication between its members and enterprises operating in China and students looking for jobs and living in the neighboring country.

Depending on the Covid-19 situation in China, the Vietnam-China Friendship Organization – Hanoi Chapter would set up a delegate of small and medium businesses, and cultural groups from Hanoi to visit Beijing and other cities in China.

In addition, the organization would cooperate with the Chinese Embassy and the Chinese community in Hanoi to facilitate trade and investment via exhibition and conference; invite Chinese experts to support local businesses in penetrating Chinese markets; providing training courses on trading activities between Vietnam and China; among others.

Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front – Hanoi chapter and the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organization Nguyen Lan Huong highly regarded the contribution of the Hanoi branch of the Vietnam-China Friendship Organization to the bilateral relations and the people-to-people diplomacy of Hanoi.

Despite the severe Covid-19 impacts, the organization has been holding meaningful activities to mark major events of the two countries, contributing to the long-standing relation of Vietnam and China.

Huong called for the organization to continue expanding the network of partners to foster the friendship between the two countries, for the benefits of people from Vietnam and China.
