Hanoi honors Thang Long enterprises 2021

 The Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (Hanoisme) in collaboration with the municipal Department of Industry and Trade and the municipal Emulation and Commendation Committee held the Thang Long Entrepreneur Gala 2021 themed “Solidarity for Success” on December 27.  The event is an occasion to honor outstanding businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen and representatives of Hanoi’s enterprises were in attendance.

 

In his opening ceremony, Mac Quoc Anh, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (Hanoisme),  pointed out that the gala is a bridge between the municipal authorities and the Hanoisme, businesses and businesses, as well as businesses and people, to create  the strength to overcome difficulties and challenges and take advantage of development opportunities as the economy has faced many difficulties this year due to the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

Under the theme ” Solidarity for Success”, the Thang Long Entrepreneur Gala 2021 is expected to be a great motivation for local firms to overcoming numerous difficulties caused by COVID-19, making contribution to boost the city’s socio-economic development, he added.

 

Anh also stressed that the business community is the main productive force of the economy, playing an important role in construction and development of Hanoi throughout the periods.

 

Over the past years, Hanoi’s business community has grown strongly in both quantity and quality, with more than 300,000 firms, over 1,400 cooperatives and around 177,000 business households, he stated.

 

The business community is now estimated to contribute 66% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP), and 97% of the capital’s total import-export turnover.

Addressing the event, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen hailed local enterprises’  contributions to the city’s development amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

 

He hoped that the enterprises will continue with constant innovation and creativity for their sustainable development, while enhancing the application of advanced technologies to increase productivity and business efficiency.

 

Quyen stated that the municipal authorities pledged to continue assisting the enterprises in removing all difficulties, seizing in opportunities for strong growth, making more contributions to the capital’s development and  deserving to be the driving force for the economic development of the capital and the country.

 

At the event, nearly 200 enterprises representing more than 318,000 the city’s businesses were awarded Labor Orders, Certificates of merit by the State, the Government, the authority of Hanoi and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
