The Hanoi People’s Committee along with other local agencies, on June 15, held a meeting to mark the ASEAN Dengue Day 2022.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Xuan Dung stressed the meeting is aimed at observing the ASEAN Dengue Day, and raising awareness among the people and entire political system on dengue prevention and fight.

To ensure effective measures against dengue, Dung called for every departments, units, socio-political organization from the city- to grassroot-level to strictly comply with solutions and regulations of the Hanoi People’s Committee to combat dengue in 2022.

Dung called for local authorities to launch campaigns to ensure environmental hygiene every week and active approach from districts, wards and communes against the dengue.

In this regard, each locality is responsible to closely supervise any dengue’s hotspot or areas of high risks to minimize potential fatalities and treat patients at a timely manner.

Dung also urged effective cooperation between different units and agencies in implementing measures against dengue.

The Hanoi People’s Committee has tasked the people’s committees at district and commune level with fully being responsible for the fight against dengue.

Chairman of the Thanh Tri district People’s Committee Nguyen Tien Cuong noted the locality has given priority to combating dengue, for which every departments and units are strictly complied with instructions from the health authorities in preventing dengue.

Right after the meeting, Thanh Tri district held a parade in some of its main roads to raise public awareness over the fight against dengue.
