Vietnam confirmed 14,638 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, including 980 in Hanoi.  

This is the highest number of daily cases in the capital since the first COVID-19 patient was detected in March 2020.

Vietnam has recorded 1,413,051 infections so far.

1,054,720 patients have recovered and 27,839 have died.

Over 57.4 million people in Vietnam have now been fully inoculated.
