President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and a National Assembly deputy delegation of HCM City held an online meeting on Saturday with voters in HCM City to listen to their opinions and collect businesses’ ideas to quickly restore production, resume supply chains, and create momentum for economic growth.

President Nguyen Xuan Phuc said despite numerous difficulties, businesses in the city have stayed united and supported one another to overcome the most difficult period of the 35 years of national renewal.

President Phuc praised the local residents and businesses for their strong efforts and resilience. He said, ‘We believe that our current difficulties are just temporary. We have overcome the biggest difficulty. Despite many challenges ahead, there’s light at the end of the tunnel. There are many economic opportunities which will help compensate our losses and also create a motivation for us to grow. The Vietnamese Party, State, HCM City authorities, the financial sector, the State bank of Vietnam, relevant Ministries and agencies are doing their best to contain the pandemic and restore the economy. A number of support policies including fiscal and monetary incentives are being implemented.’
