Health officials suggest one dose of Covid-19 vaccine for children 12 or older

Health officials in the UK, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark suggest giving one dose of Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine to children.

According to The New York Times, health experts believe that, for children 12 years or older, a single dose of Pfizer/BioNTech’s vaccine will reduce their risk of infection while avoiding side effects that might occur with two doses.

Swedish and Danish officials recommend that teenagers get only one dose of Moderna’s vaccine.
