Mid-Autumn Festival celebrated nationwide

– The 3-day Mid-Autumn Festival began on Wednesday at the Vietnam Cultural Arts Exhibition Center in Hanoi.

The event, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, features moon cakes, fruits, and specialties from all three regions of Vietnam, as well as photos of past Mid-Autumn Festivals.

On Wednesday Da Nang’s Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs gave 5,000 Mid-Autumn presents to children of the Co Tu ethnic group, children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and children in especially difficult circumstances in Hoa Vang district.

Children with HIV/AIDS had fun in activities organized by the Can Tho City Department of Health in collaboration with the city’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. One of the 100 children who received a gift set presented by the organizing board, said: “I was really excited to receive these gifts and moon cakes. These meaningful activities warm our hearts.”

The Youth Union organized a “Lanterns light up dreams” Festival for children, and gave 220 scholarships and 10,000 gift sets to disadvantaged children, children in remote border and island areas, children with disabilities, and children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
