National database on state officers administers 2.5 million records

The national database on cadres, civil servants and public employees of state agencies is expected to comprise 2.5 million electronic records, providing accurate and timely information. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on December 29 officially began operation of the national database about cadres, civil servants and public employees.

This is one of the databases playing an important role in providing information about state officers across the country, serving the state’s staff and the use of personnel.

In Decision 06 on data about population, electronic identification and authentication serving national digital transformation in 2022-2025, the PM emphasized the MHA’s role in presiding over the national database on state officers.

MHA’s Party Civil Affairs Committee released Resolution 21 on digital transformation from 2025-2030, defining the national database on state officers as one of the most important tasks now, not only of MHA but all ministries, branches and localities.

This is a step to realize tasks assigned by the Prime Minister’s decision on building a national database on cadres, civil servants and public employees at state agencies.

The building of the national database is one of the important components in e-government, digital government, digital economy and digital society.

This will allow better management of information, and will store national data uniformly throughout the country.

Data must be ‘correct, sufficient, clean, live’

To date, software design, infrastructure device installations, system setups, and training and deployment throughout the country (96 ministries, branches and localities) have been completed.

The system has integrated and synchronized data of 35 ministries, branches and localities into the national database.

MHA, with the cooperation with the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), continues to connect and synchronize data from the remaining branches and localities to enrich data and be sure that the national data is sufficient and updated in accordance with the principle “true, sufficient, clean and live’.

The successful deployment of the national database on cadres, civil servants and public employees is the key for MHA to implement its task of giving advice on institutions, policies and personnel management throughout the country.

The national database on public employees will be implemented nationwide. Electronic resumes will replace print resumes and Vietnam will gradually digitize information and data to replace paper records.
