The Ministry of Health said the daily number of COVID-19 cases increased to 756 on Wednesday, double that of Tuesday. There was 1 death in Tay Ninh. During the day, 350 patients recovered, bringing the total number of recovered cases to more than 10.6 million. Since the onset of the pandemic, Vietnam’s caseload has reached more than 11.5 million, ranking 13 of 230 countries and territories, while with the ratio of infections per 1 million people, Vietnam ranks 117.

The total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Vietnam has so far been more than 43,000, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

As of Wednesday, more than 262 million vaccine doses were administered nationwide.
