Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the inauguration ceremony of the Van Don-Mong Cai Highway in Quang Ninh province on Thursday. The 80 km-highway with the designed speed of 120 km/h will help shorten travel time from Hanoi to Mong Cai to 3 hours paving the way for further development in Quang Ninh province and the Red River Delta. In his address, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the highway saying it is part of the Party guidelines and State policies on upgrading the infrastructure to address traffic congestion and create a momentum for the development of trade, tourism, and industrial zones in the north in order to move toward a green economy.

The Prime Minister asked the province to expand effective business and investment models to improve the local infrastructure and encourage businesses’ engagement in the national development.
