Tet gatherings held in Republic of Korea, Venezuela

 The Vietnamese Embassies in Republic of Korea and Venezuela hosted activities to celebrate Tet, Vietnam’s Lunar New Year festival. Ambassador to Republic of Korea Nguyen Vu Tung on Tuesday visited two Vietnamese-South Korean families and earlier sent New Year greetings to 200,000 overseas Vietnamese in South Korea through an online get-together.

Ambassador Tung briefed about Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements and its strategic cooperative partnership with the Republic of Korea in 2021 and its foreign affairs this year, including activities marking the 30th founding anniversary of Vietnam-Republic of Korea diplomatic ties.

During a gathering to celebrate the Year of the Tiger at the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela on Monday, Ambassador Le Viet Duyen read the Letter of Lunar New Year greetings from Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, hailed the efforts of the cadres of the embassy, the Vietnam Defense Attaché Agency, and the Trade Office in Venezuela in promoting the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Venezuela, and the friendship between Vietnam and Colombia, Barbados, Grenada and Saint Vincent & the Grenadines.
