Vietnam pandemic fight and economic recovery discussed in the US

 

At the invitation of the Boston Global Forum, Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Ha Kim Ngoc on Thursday attended the first meeting of the Vietnam Spark Plan, an initiative to help Vietnam fight COVID-19, recover and develop economy after the pandemic. Ambassador Ngoc welcomed the initiative and said he hopes it will work out breakthrough ideas to help Vietnam overcome challenges and maintain its strong growth momentum. Michael Dukakis, President of the Boston Global Forum and former governor of the US’s Massachusetts state said he is ready to help improve the pandemic situation in Vietnam, adding that fighting the pandemic and developing the economy are important to Vietnam.

The meeting discussed ideas to developing medical infrastructure, telecommunications, psychologic tele-consultation, and improvement of women’s role in combating the pandemic. The Vietnam Spark Plan will organize more discussion and report to Vietnam in late November.
