Vietnam team beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in a friendly

The Vietnamese national football team won 2-1 against Germany’s Borussia Dortmund in a friendly match on Wednesday evening at the National My Dinh Stadium. Tien Linh and Pham Tuan Hai were scorers for Vietnam. In the first half, Dortmund took the lead with striker Malen opening the score in the 13th minute. Tien Linh had an equalizer in the 36th minute. At the end of the second half, the Vietnamese team was given an 11-meter penalty and Pham Tuan Hai successfully finished, sealing the 2-1 final score.

The match is a warm up for coach Park Hang-seo and his footballers of their 2022 AFF Cup campaign from December 23 to January 16.

Vietnam have been drawn in Group B and they will play two away matches against Laos and Singapore on December 21 and December 30, respectively. They will then play at home against Malaysia on December 27 and Myanmar on January 3, 2023.
