Vietnam’s U23 football team beat Singapore 7-0 at their opening Group C of the 2022 AFF U23 Championship on Saturday night in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

At the end of the first half, Vietnam scored 3 goals by Nguyen Van Tung (in the 3^rd and the 37^th minutes) and Dinh Xuan Tien (in the 30^th minute).

In the second half, player Quang Nho contributed his first goal to the national football team in the 56^th minute.

22 minutes later, teammate Ngoc Thang scored the 5^th goal for Vietnam.

In the last minutes of the match, Thanh Khoi and Tien Long scored two more goals for Vietnam, bringing the final score of 7– 0 against Singapore.

Vietnam now rank first in Group C and just need a draw in the match against Thailand on Tuesday to enter the semi-final.
