(VOVWORLD) – Lawmakers elected Chairman of the 14th National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue as Chairman of the 15th legislature on Tuesday. 

At the swearing-in ceremony, Mr. Hue vowed to give his best efforts to fulfill the tasks entrusted by the Party, State and people. He pledged to consolidate national defense-security, firmly safeguard national independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and enhance global integration.

“As National Assembly Chairman, I will do my best to continue improving the operation of the National Assembly for the ultimate goal of serving national interests and for the sake of the well-being of the people. I will uphold democracy, unity, the rule of law, integrity, transparency and professionalism to raise the quality and efficiency of the legislature,” said Mr. Hue.

National Assembly deputies also elected 4 NA Vice Chairpersons and will vote on nominees for the posts of NA Secretary General, Chairpersons of NA Committees, and State Auditor General on Wednesday.
