World leaders congratulate Vietnam on National Day

World leaders have sent congratulatory messages to Vietnamese Party and State leaders on the occasion of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2).

Lao Party General Secretary and State President Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh, and National Assembly Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane said that Vietnam’s achievements in national construction and defense over the past 77 years have been a constant source of encouragement for Laos’ national development process. They reaffirmed that the Lao Party, State, and people will continue to stand side by side with the Vietnamese Party, State, and people to nurture and preserve the relationship between Vietnam and Laos forever.

Chinese Party General Secretary and State President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li Keqiang, and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Li Zhanshu said that China attaches great importance to consolidating relations between the 2 Parties and States. They noted that China wants to solidify the traditional friendship, enhance strategic connectivity, and deepen win-win cooperation with Vietnam in order to create new impetus for the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the 2 countries.

Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Senate President Samdech Say Chhum, and National Assembly President Samdech Heng Samrin renewed their determination to continue working closely with Vietnam to promote bilateral ties.

The leaders of Cuba, Russia, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and many other countries also sent congratulatory letters and messages to Vietnamese leaders on this occasion.
