The functional forces of Hanoi fined 192 people more than VND270 million for violating COVID-19 prevention and control regulations on September 19.
Of the total, 2170 people were fined for going out for unnecessary reasons, 16 others for flouting face mask rules or failing to keep safe distance in public.
At the 23 COVID-19 checkpoints at the city’s gateways, the on-duty forces have checked more than 13,200 vehicles with 16,000 people. More than 1,700 vehicles were denied entry into the city.
12 mobile teams set up by the municipal police have enhanced inspection and imposed harsh punishments on violation cases.
On September 19, the teams searched approximately 7,300 people, and penalized ten for going out without travel permits, with total fine of VND11 million.
