286 new COVID-19 infections reported in Hanoi on November 22

 

 

The capital city of Hanoi confirmed 286 new COVID-19 infections from 6pm on November 21 to 6pm November 22 , according to the municipal Department of Health.  

 

Out of the total, ninety-eight cases were detected in the community, and 163 others in concentrated quarantine facilities and 25 in areas under lockdown.

 

The new infections were reported in 28 out of 30 district, including Hoang Mai (34), Nam Tu Liem (22), Ba Dinh (21), Long Bien (21), Chuong My (17), Ha Dong (16), Quoc Oai (13), Dong Da (12), Thanh Tri (12), Hai Ba Trung (12), Gia Lam (11), Thanh Xuan (10), Dong Anh (9), Bac Tu Liem (9), Me Linh (9), Cau Giay (8), Soc Son (8), Thuong Tin (6), Thanh Oai (6), My Duc (4), Phu Xuyen (4), Thach That (3), Hoan Kiem, (1), Ung Hoa (1), Phuc Tho (1), Son Tay (1) and Tay Ho (1).

 

Among the community-acquired cases, sixty-two are “first-generation” contacts of confirmed coronavirus carriers; twenty seven are detected through community screening; eight are returnees from virus-hit localities; one is linked to the cluster in Nam Tu Liem’s Phu Do ward.

 

Since the fourth wave of COVID-19 flared up in late April, Hanoi has recorded 8,012 coronavirus carriers, including 2,950 detected in the community and 5,062 in quarantine establishments or blockaded areas.
