Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee and vice head of the municipal Command for COVID-19 prevention and control Chu Xuan Dung on September 11 conducted irregular inspection on mass testing and vaccination in districts of Me Linh, Tay Ho, Cau Giay and Thanh Xuan. According to a report of Me Linh district, the locality is home to around 148,000 people aged between 18 and 65. So far, 73% of its adult population has been vaccinated. About 80,000 samples have been collected for COVID-19 test. Mobile medical stations are ready to get into action.

While Inspecting pandemic prevention and control work in Me Linh district, Dung lauded drastic participation of the local authorities in the fight against the pandemic.

He also highly hailed the support of 608 heath workers from Vinh Phuc province for Hanoi’s COVID-19 fight.

The vice chairman asked for more effort from the district to ensure that the vaccination takes place in effective and safe manner.

In Cau Giay and Thanh Xuan districts, Dung praised both localities for their effort in speeding up testing and vaccination as scheduled.

He requested the local authorities to increase communication on COVID-19 vaccination with the motto “the best vaccine is the one that is available”, noting the districts should do their utmost to protect people’s health during the campaign.

Dung also asked for special from the local authorities to maintaining social welfare, while joining hands with the municipal authorities to put the pandemic under control and bring life back to normal.
