Belarus develops cooperation with Vietnam not only because Belarusians love Vietnamese people but also because the two countries have common economic interests, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has said.

Receiving Vietnamese Ambassador to Belarus Nguyen Van Ngu on Tuesday, President Lukashenko reiterated Belarus’s willingness to provide its technology to Vietnam, support the formation of new businesses and establish joint ventures to produce technical products. Belarus is ready to expand the supply of food and fertilizers to Vietnam, he added.

Ambassador Ngu told local media outlets after the meeting that both Belarus and Vietnam have a lot of potential for stronger cooperation and they should seize opportunities to double bilateral trade turnover.
