Biden signed 858 billion USD military spending bill

US President Joe Biden signed the 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) on Friday, a spending bill of 858 billion USD for military programs and other priorities.

The NDAA will endorse a 4.6% pay raise for US troops, end military cooperation with Russia, and repeal military’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate in 30 days.

The bill will sanction US entities who knowingly transact with or transport gold from Russia’s central bank holdings and map out investment plans and policies for 2023 military spending.

It will also fund military support for allies, including a 800-million-USD package for the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative.
