On July 20, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan had a meeting with voters in the Hoan Kiem district. At the meeting, voters of Hoan Kiem district highly regarded the results from the 7th session of the municipal People’s Council. They noted that in addition to the discussion over solutions to promote socio-economic development in Hanoi, deputies also spent a day questioning the authorities over issues of voters’ concern.

In particular, voters in the Hoan Kiem district are delighted that after many years, the Hanoimoi Newspaper Printing Company Limited, at No.35 Nha Chung with an area of more than 1,800m2 would be relocated out of the city’s center as well as the municipal stipulation of the ceiling of tuition fees for high-quality public educational institutions for the academic year 2022-2023.

Also at the meeting, voters of the Hoan Kiem district raised several issues related to planning, traffic, education, and training.

Voters of Phan Chu Trinh ward said that the Ring Road 4 project is essential in supporting the socio-economic development of Hanoi. Therefore, they suggested that the implementation process should ensure the highest quality and be an exemplary project.

Voters of Hang Ma ward asked the Hanoi People’s Council to pay attention to tourism development resources. As such, they urged the city to promote the development of tangible and intangible cultural spaces, and traditional craft villages. In addition, voters expected the city to accelerate the disbursement of public investment and provide land for social welfare works such as schools, and green parks, to improve the quality of life of people in Hoan Kiem district in particular and the capital in general.

In addition, voters of the Hoan Kiem district also suggested that Hanoi have a solution to build more public high schools to meet the rising number of 10th graders in public schools and consider the expansion of the Thanh Yen gate to prevent traffic congestion.

Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan said over the years, the City Council has decided on many very important issues in the capital. Before the 7th session, all preparation works had been carried out thoroughly to ensure all topics discussed at the session are related to the concerns of the people and helped find solutions for the city’s further development.

Tuan welcomed recommendations and suggestions from voters and considered them significant for the development of Hanoi.

Notably, the Hanoi People’s Council has always been ensuring flexibility in operation, in which, the legislative body not only holds regular meetings, but also extraordinary meetings when necessary.

Regarding the next upcoming tasks, the Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Council asked the Hoan Kiem district to focus on implementing public projects in the area to boost economic recovery. He expected the authorities in the district to start working on issues that had been discussed at the session in compliance with the conclusion of the Hanoi People’s Council.
