E-commerce boomed in Vietnam for the 2020-2021 period and is projected to reach 39 billion USD by 2025, according to the Vietnam Online Business Forum 2022 held in Hanoi on Tuesday.

Most forum delegates agreed that e-commerce will enjoy sustainable development thanks to its diverse sale channels.

Online sales in Vietnam have doubled since the beginning of last year.

In the first half of 2021, Vietnam recorded 8 million new online consumers, 55% of them from non-urban areas.
