Enterprises should make more effort to avoid disruption of production chains

– Member of the Party Central Committee and Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen on October 2 led a delegation to check production activities in several businesses at Quang Minh Industrial Park (Me Linh District). The delegation included Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen, and leaders of relevant departments and sectors.

 

Tuyen visited and inspected business activities and COVID-19 prevention and control work at Eurowindow Joint Stock Company and VNSTEEL Thang Long Coated Sheets Joint Stock Company.

 

More effort to maintain production amid COVID-19 pandemic

 

Giving a report to the city’s delegation, Nguyen Canh Hong, General Director of Eurowindow Joint Stock, said that his company has faced challenges caused by the COVID-19.

 

It is estimated that as of the third quarter of 2021, the company only meets over 53% of its sales plan set for the whole year, he added.

 

He also stated that Eurowindow has taken COVID-19 countermeasures set by the Ministry of Health, especially the 5K principle.

 

Meanwhile, General Director of VNSTEEL Thang Long Coated Sheets Joint Stock Company Nguyen Ngoc Chung said that the company’s production and business value in the nine months of the year reached VND480 billion.

 

The company has mapped out a detailed scenario for COVID-19 evolution response in line with the “three-on-spot” scheme, and abide by pandemic prevention and control protocol to minimize coronavirus transmission, he underlined.

 

Acknowledging businesses’ feedback, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen affirmed that the municipal authorities are striving  to create the best conditions for local businesses to boost recovery of production and business as the pandemic has been put under control.

 

More efforts to ensure safe production

 

Concluding the working session, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen praised businesses for their effort in maintaining safe production in the context of the COVID19 epidemic.

 

Hanoi is entering a ‘new normal’, with the focus on fighting the pandemic and promote recovery of economic growth, Tuyen said, asking enterprises to continue expanding safe production models and try their best to avoid disruption of production chains.

 

Answering  businesses’ queries, the Permanent Deputy Secretary requested the city’s departments and branches, based on their functions and missions, to give assistance to local enterprises in expanding their business.

 

While stressing the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tuyen asked firms to strictly comply with the Health Ministry’s 5K message and conduct mass test to timely detect suspected cases.

 

Enterprises should guide their  workforce to make online health declarations with QR Codes, making  contribution to the success of the city’s COVID-19 effort as well as keep businesses safe from the COVID-19 outbreak, she noted.
