Germany investigates damage to Nord Stream pipelines

 

– The German police and army have begun probe of recent damages to Nord Stream pipelines in the Baltic Sea, the Tagesschau news service reported Sunday. The federal police are investigating the explosions with the help of divers and special technology.

The German navy has sent a mine sweeper and a multi-purpose vessel to inspect the pipelines.

German Federal Minister of Justice Marco Buschmann said a criminal investigation of sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines has been launched.
