The 1st National Green Sunday movement was launched in Binh Thuan province on Sunday, as part of the Youth Month 2022 to deal with environmental pollution, respond to climate change, and celebrate the 12th National Congress of the Youth Union for the 2022-2027 term. At the event, the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union Central Committee presented 22,000 USD to Binh Thuan’s young people to help them develop the economy, gave 10 water tanks to poor families, and built a library of 100 children books worth more than 3,000 USD.
Youth Union branches at all level have organized voluntary groups to clean the environment, plant trees and flowers along rural roads, and breed young trees for “For a green Vietnam” program. Other activities include planting nursery gardens and creating school gardens to achieve the target of planting at least 20 million trees this year.
