Hanoi honors 10 outstanding citizens

10 outstanding citizens from Hanoi were honored for their extraordinary contributions to the capital city’s development at a ceremony on Monday.

The event reviewed 30 years of the city’s movement “Good People, Good Deeds” and commemorated 68 years of Hanoi’s liberation.

“Vietnamese intellectuals, active or retired, all want to contribute to the nation. We’ll work together to meet the city’s needs,” said Bui Thi An, Chairwoman of the Association of Hanoi’s Female Intellectuals and one of the honorees.

This year, 747 individuals were granted the title of “Good People, Good Deeds.”
