Hanoi Mayor meets Italian Ambassador to Vietnam

 On September 20, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh received Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Antonio Alessandro.  

At the meeting, Ambassador Antonio Alessandro highly appreciated Hanoi’s support for the Italian Embassy’s activities in the capital in recent years. In the context that the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Italy is constantly being consolidated and developed, Hanoi’s cooperation has contributed significantly to the efforts to promote the friendship between the two countries.

Alessandro wished that, in the coming time, Hanoi would continue to accompany the Italian Embassy in exchange and cooperation activities. Especially, in 2023, the time when the two countries celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations, the Italian Embassy is expected to organize many cultural and artistic programs to promote the image and at the same time, the relationship between the two countries as well as understanding between Italian and Vietnamese people. Ambassador Antonio Alessandro hopes that the relationship between Hanoi and Italian localities, as well as between Italian businesses and those from  Hanoi will be expanded.

Chairman of the City People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh hoped that the two capitals would continue to exploit each other’s potentials and strengths to bring cooperation to a new height. Besides technology-related fields, Hanoi wishes to share experiences in the fields of cultural industry development, heritage conservation, education, museums…

Chairman of the City People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh affirmed that he will coordinate and create conditions for the Italian Embassy to organize exchange and cooperation activities in the coming time.
