On the occasion of the working trip to Vientiane, on November 4, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh paid a courtesy visit to Laos Prime Minister Phankham Viphavan.
At the meeting, Thanh thanked Prime Minister Phankham Viphavan for spending his precious time to welcome the delegation; conveyed the greetings of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to the Prime Ministers of Laos.
He congratulated the great and comprehensive achievements of historical significance that Laos has attained after more than 35 years of renovation and the important results after more than a year of implementing the Resolution of the 11th National Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party.
Thanh affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam strongly and comprehensively support the renovation, protection, construction and development of Laos; at the same time, he believed that under the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and the administration of the Government, on the basis of promoting the valuable achievements and experiences after 35 years of renovation, Laos will continue to achieve new and greater achievements, successfully building a peaceful, independent, democratic, unified and prosperous Laos according to the socialist goal.
Thanh also said that, along with the important and comprehensive achievements that the two Parties and countries have made in the Doi moi process, the special relationship of solidarity between Vietnam and Laos has grown deeper and deeper in all fields, making an important contribution to the maintenance of political stability and socio-economic development of each country.
At the meeting, Thanh informed Prime Minister Phankham Viphavan the extremely positive cooperation results between the Hanoi and Vientiane, especially in the year of Friendship and Solidarity between Vietnam and Laos 2022; affirmed that Hanoi will continue to cooperate and provide comprehensive support to Vientiane capital. He expressed his hope that the Lao Party and State would continue to create favorable conditions for the two capitals to cooperate, thereby contributing to deepening the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
Prime Minister of Laos Phankham Viphavan welcomed Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh and the delegation to visit and work in Laos, continuing a series of exciting cooperation activities between Hanoi and Vientiane in the year of Vietnam – Laos Friendship Solidarity 2022.
Prime Minister Phankham Viphavan emphasized that the two countries always give each other support and help, and affirmed that that mutual support and help comes from the feelings and hearts of the people of Laos and Vietnam.
Lao Party and State leaders will continue side by side, strengthening cooperation with Vietnam in all aspects so that the two countries can work together in the construction and development of the country, building a great relationship of friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation.
Expressing his delight at the cooperation results between the two capitals, Prime Minister Phankham Viphavan expected that Hanoi and Vientiane would continue to give each other support and help and strengthen cooperation in the coming time, cultivate affection and bring practical benefits to the people of the two cities and two countries.
The Lao Party and State always support Hanoi and Vientiane to cooperate and develop, contributing to consolidating and deepening the relationship of solidarity and cohesion between the two Parties, the two countries and the people of the two countries.
