Hanoi People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan attends the 5th session of the Son Tay Town People’s Council

 

The Son Tay Town People’s Council, tenure 20, convened its fifth meeting on December 22 to discuss several key contents. The event saw the attendance of Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, and Deputy Head of the National Assembly deputies’ delegation of  Hanoi Pham Thi Thanh Mai.

 

At the meeting, the town People’s Council focused on reviewing socio-economic performance in 2021, discussing and making decision on socio-economic development in 2022 and the tenure of 2021-2025, medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period, adjustment of investment policies for some projects, and others.

 

According to a report of the town People’s Committee, Son Tay has successfully organized the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for tenure of 2021-2026, while effectively realizing Resolution No.97 of the National Assembly and Plan 171 of the municipal Party Committee on the trial of the urban governance model in Hanoi.

 

In the adverse context caused  the COVID-19 pandemic, the town still achieved the economic growth of 4.5%. Total State budget revenue in the area was estimated to exceed 21.8% over the city’s plan.

 

Special attention has also paid to funding disbursement for construction investment, planning, land management, political security, social order and safety and national defense.

 

Addressing the sitting, Chairman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan congratulated Son Tay administration on its achievements in 2021.

 

He asked the local authorities to take advantage of local potential and advantages to build the town more prosperous and civilized.

 

The town should speed up planning and planning management, develop tourism industry to create a driving force in socio-economic development, Tuan suggested.

 

The Chairman urged Son Tay to continue with COVID-19 prevention and control measures in line with the Government’s stance of safe and flexible adaptation to the pandemic.

 

Tuan also asked for more effort to take care of policy beneficiaries and those facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic on the upcoming Lunar New Year Festival.
