HNP – On December 23, on the pedestrian street of Hoan Kiem Lake, the Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA) and relevant agencies launched the “Proud of Vietnamese Agricultural Products” program.
Attending the program were representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Hanoi City Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Committee, the Chairman of the Hanoi Farmers’ Association Pham Hai Hoa, the Director of HPA Nguyen Anh Duong; together with representatives of departments, agencies and branches of Hanoi and other provinces and cities.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of HPA Bui Duy Quang said that the program was organized to promote domestic consumption of agricultural and OCOP products of Hanoi and other provinces and cities; contributing to stimulating the development of agricultural and rural production; connecting farm producers of provinces and cities with distribution channels in Hanoi.
According to Quang, this is an important agricultural trade promotion event taking place ahead of the New Year holidays, which is expected to attract attention of many people and tourists. Participating in the program is a good opportunity for agricultural product production and business units to introduce, display and sell products, thereby, promoting their brands and trade of agricultural products to domestic and international markets, he said.
“Proud of Vietnamese Agricultural Products” gathers the participation of 150 enterprises, cooperatives of 30 provinces/cities and localities nationwide such as: Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Lam Dong, Dien Bien, Nghe An, Can Tho, Son La, Dak Nong, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Ha Giang, Quang Nam, Ninh Binh, Thua Thien Hue, Lai Chau, Bac Kan, Ha Nam, Hoa Binh Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Bac Giang, Cao Bang, Phu Yen, Quang Ninh, Kon Tum, Thai Nguyen, Quang Tri, Tien Giang and Hanoi.
With a scale of 140 booths, over 2,000 products displayed and introduced at the Program are typical agricultural products, OCOP products, regional specialties, processed products, green agricultural products, or those applying high technology, products of traditional craft villages of Hanoi and other provinces and cities.
In addition to the activities of displaying, introducing and selling products, within the framework of the “Proud of Vietnamese Agricultural Products” event, there are also activities for visitors to taste the products right on spot. Besides the booths, the Organizing Committee also arranged miniature models associated with the theme of welcoming Christmas and New Year to create a festive atmosphere for visitors and tourists.
According to the leader of the HPA, the organization of the program “Proud of Vietnamese agricultural products” also aims to concretize cooperation agreements of the Hanoi Party Committee, People’s Council, Hanoi People’s Committee with provinces and cities nationwide with the spirit of “Hanoi for the whole country, the whole country for Hanoi”; at the same time, supporting businesses and manufacturers to access the capital’s consumer market, thereby, expanding the distribution system, exploiting the potential of the domestic market; creating a platform to stimulate demand for safe shopping at the end of the year and preparing to welcome the new year 2023, contributing to the effective implementation of the campaign “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”.
